How to design an electrical panel board ?
A panel schedule electrical design is shows all the circuits and equipments in the system.
The panel schedule drawing should:
Show home runs to panels, marked with circuit number.
Show number of wires in conduit.
Show panel dimension, location, horsepower, amperage, voltage, phase, NEMA type, starter size for each motor circuit number, load description, cable size, conduit size, neutral size, ground size, insulation type, distance, raceway type and size.
In selecting a panelboard, the following factors must be considered such as services voltage and frequency, interrupting capacity, ampere rating and area of classification, and all materials must be approved and listed by Underwriters Laboratories.
