digitrace 910 To determine the right bill of material that fits our application is one of the hard part. Luckily,heat tracing software has most already taken care of that hard part for us. But remember, software is just a software. It needs a smart human brain to input the right information before it gives the right output.
If you decide your application not necessarily to have a controller, then check "uncontrolled" from the box of the software, and digitrace910 will not included in your bill of material.
Usually, I don't use controller for free protection (40° F). The self regulating heating cable is good for this free protection application. But if you would like to maintain your system at higher temperature, for example, above 77° F, class 1 division 2 pipe, your application requires controls, monitors, and communicate alarms and data. Then you will need Digitrace 910.
Let the heat tracing software recommend the part number. keep in my that everybody is different, so every design is not the same. Sorry that I go so much basic, I don't mean to insult your brain. But there're too much smart outsource already. I, myself,really need a basic instruction when I first started my career. I thought some body may interested in this basic stuff. Trust me, if you would like to become an electrical designer,you must know how to gather information and put it together. And it is important to know the next step you should do.
